A Pressure vessel can be used for a wide variety of applications including water treatment, food manufacture, scientific research and industrial manufacturing. Creating these pressure vessels requires flexibility as well as considerable manufacturing expertise.
Pressurised containers are required to meet a variety of specifications and certifications such as the pressure equipment directive and PD5500. In order to be deemed safe for operation these considerations must be followed closely by designers and manufacturers.
Due to the dangers associated with pressure vessels there are extensive tests and quality control procedures that need to be in place.
Therm Tech has a long history in designing and manufacturing pressure vessels for a wide range of uses in various industries. This includes filter vessels, deaerators, shell and tube exchangers and steam accumulators.
Therm Tech has manufacturing facilities capable of producing vessels up to 3.2 metres in diameter, 22 millimetres wall thickness and 20 tonnes in weight in either mild steel or stainless steel, coded using class 1 welders to approved weld procedures subject to NDT and radiographic testing. Therm Tech also has an in-house paint spray booth.
Vessels can also be designed to include internal and external insulation, heating or cooling coils for process heating and cooling. Design packages such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks are used in conjunction with pressure calculations to establish the best design and specification for a pressure vessel.
